Frequently Asked Questions...
Does anyone know how to cover up a bottle cap so you can't see the name, but the bottle will still close?
I'm using a glass bottle to hold a bunch of coins I'm giving to a friend. The bottle used to hold a drink, so the cap has the name of the drink on it. Is there a way I can thoroughly cover it with ribbon, fabric, etc so she has no idea what the cap really looks like, but the bottle still closes?
Or, if you don't have any suggestion for that, where would I buy a glass jar or something, and how much would it cost?
Answer:
Paint and then seal the cap. Or, you could decoupage a really neat picture or bit of paper. That shouldn't interfere with the ability to close it.
Michaels and Hobby Lobby have tons of really neat bottles with lids and corks. However, if you want to go REALLY cheap, find a flea market.
