Top Gun 2 - Conversations Are Within The Danger Zone
In 1986, "Top Gun" was the ultimate sexy, romantic drama. Some news sources are reporting that a new film could possibly be made. Specifically, the remake "Top Gun 2." Making the sequel to this film could mean big money and large names. Jerry Bruckheimer, Tony Scott, and Tom Cruise could all be a part of this large film remake. Paramount begins 'Top Gun' 2 discussions
A follow up called "Top Gun 2" might emerge. Paramount Pictures has begun this rumor. Viacom executives have started talking about the movie production. The film's original producer and director, Jerry Burckheimer and Tony Scott, can be pulled in by Viacom so they would be the first to know. Christopher McQuarrie had been the writer of the Cruise movie, "Valkyrie." He is the script writer according to rumors.
Tom Cruise taking part in 'Top Gun 2'
The possibility of a "Top Gun 2" has already included Tom Cruise in conversations. He will probably play "Maverick" if the movie ends up going through. Maverick, though, wouldn't have the very same top part within the "Top Gun 2" movie. Instead, Maverick would likely be a flight instructor. This could be played off like the "Dirty Dancing 2" film. An appearance of the primary stars will happen as a throwback although it will not star the exact same people.
Will 'Top Gun 2' really be coming out?
"Top Gun 2" is just a rumor right now. However, New York Magazine accounts that the film is a very real possibility. Even Jerry Bruckheimer has been asked about a Top Gun film. He had been asked in July if there had been a possibility. He said there wouldn't be a Top Gun 2 film as he laughed. Bruckheimer has also been talking, though, about how much aviation training has recently changed, with air-gun fights no longer being the standard. Many wonder if in-air training with live fire or gamer-like training with joysticks and computers can be what "Top Gun 2" is all about. It's feasible that "Top Gun 2" might end up being another example of a film going directly to DVD as an '80s remake.
